It’s best to seek the help of a nurse attorney in Sugar Land when facing any accusations. However, some nurses tend to face these results instead without thinking that nurse attorneys are always reliable for matters such as these.

This is what happened to a certain RN in Sugar Land, Texas. At the time of the initial incident, the RN was employed in a medical center in Sugar Land and had been in the position for two years and five months.

On or about November 1, 2016, while employed as a Registered Nurse and being the only RN scheduled for duty on this day, the RN left a patient alone after applying topical anesthesia to the patient.

On or about November 7, 2016, through November 26, 2016, after being terminated from the hospital, the RN inappropriately accessed the facility’s computer system.

The Texas Board of Nursing has full jurisdiction over all cases that may affect the RN license. The strictness of the Board also ensures that nurses will only commit to the duties they are assigned to in order to guarantee accurate and excellent performance in all hospitals throughout the state of Texas.

During the hearing, the RN states she told the receptionist at the facility that she was going to lunch and the owner of the facility, who is a licensed nurse, was present at the facility. She states she left to pick up lunch for ten to fifteen minutes after she had applied the topical anesthesia and waited a few minutes.

The Texas Board of Nursing gave the RN the chance to defend herself. However, she was not able to provide a good defense for herself, especially when the evidence was brought up to her. Therefore, the Board placed her RN license to a disciplinary action instead.
