The Texas Board of Nursing (BON) is the government agency that has jurisdiction to hear and decide administrative cases involving RN and LVN in Texas. It is also the agency that is responsible for overseeing the practice of professional nursing all over the state of Texas. Any RN or LVN who is guilty of violating state laws and issuances from the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) may be subjected to penalties or fines if not properly defended by a Friendswood nurse license attorney. As a matter of fact, the RN license and LVN license can even be suspended or revoked. L150130N0471

A perfect example of this incident happened to an LVN in Friendswood.

At the time of the incident,  the LVN was employed as a Licensed Vocational Nurse within a medical facility in Friendswood and had been in this position for two years.

On or about June 6, 2013, while employed as a Licensed Vocational Nurse with Friendswood Healthcare Center, Friendswood, Texas, and assigned to provide nursing care for a patient, the LVN failed to notify the physician when a patient experienced a change in condition.

In addition, the LVN failed to continuously monitor and/or document continued changes, failed to accurately and completely document vital signs, and failed to document attempts to notify the physician and interventions performed in the patient’s medical record.

The LVN waited two hours to return and re-assess the patient. Inadvertently, the LVN called a transport service instead of activating Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to take the patient to the Emergency Room.

The LVN’s conduct resulted in an inaccurate medical record and delayed timely medical intervention required to stabilize the patient.

In response to the incident, the LVN states she acknowledges that she committed errors in her practice. She states that she attempted to contact the patient’s physician and acknowledges that she should have documented her attempts to contact the physician.

The LVN acknowledges that she erred in calling an ambulance service rather than 9-1-1.

However, due to lack of evidence and an expert Friendswood nurse license attorney to defend her, the LVN was suspended and disciplined.

This is just one of the many cases why every nurse in Texas is expected to act with prudence in practicing the profession. Gross negligence, disobedience or any form of offense on the part of a RN or LVN is never excused.

Any type of accusations can be defended, as long as there is a skilled nurse attorney ready to assist you during the hearing before the Board of Nursing. The Texas Board of Nursing has full jurisdiction regarding cases that may affect an RN or LVN’s license from suspension, disciplinary action or revocation.

The LVN lost the case simply because she failed to find an effective and efficient nurse attorney. Avoid committing the same mistake she did. WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

I consider Yong as the biggest blessing in my life for this year. While I was practicing as a professional nurse in Texas, I received an order from the BON limiting my practice. This was problematic for me since I wanted to continue working for my employer. Yong was the one who wrote a reply letter to the Board and explained my innocence. He made all the necessary arrangements, which led to the issuance of an order in my favor…

I searched for a Texas lawyer who is good at handling nursing defense cases. During my research, I came across the website of Mr. Yong. I read positive comments from his previous clients, which made me become more interested in what he does. Because of this, I tried to send a message via the website. What made me really happy was the fact that a member of his team responded right away! He was so nice to me. I wish there won’t come a time that I would require the services of a lawyer. But right now, I have to say that I will recommend his firm to those who are in need!

The nice thing about Mr. Yong is that he is an expert in the legal aspect of the nursing industry. He has this ability in helping clients to feel calm and more relaxed while the case is going on. With his efforts, he was able to dismiss the case filed against me. I was able to keep my nursing license because of him. My case was quite difficult but he won! This only shows that he is an amazing and skilled lawyer in Texas.
