The Texas Board of Nursing (BON) is the government agency that has jurisdiction to hear and decide administrative cases involving RN and LVN in Texas. To counter the allegation, RN states she sought treatment in a rehabilitation center in Webster, Texas, and completed inpatient treatment on May 5, 2017.
However, the Texas Board of Nursing finds that there exist serious risks to public health and safety as a result of impaired nursing care due to intemperate use of controlled substances or chemical dependency used by the RN.
As a result, the Texas Board of Nursing found the RN guilty for the complaint against her. Her RN license was suspended and she was placed under probation.
