Nurses, the backbone of healthcare, typically have to deal with serious levels of burnout – the COVID-19 pandemic has made the problem that much worse. In Pearland,  a university helps create a program to keep up with the demand for advanced healthcare education needs.

Here is the story by bizjournals.com.

If you know someone who resides in Pearland, Texas, then there is a likelihood they are supporting the community and nation like never before on the front lines in health care or working towards a biomedical solution that addresses a new future in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

With a burgeoning health care workforce that represents nearly 13% of Pearland residents, the Pearland community is emerging as a front-runner in the Greater Houston area with educational opportunities in the health care and life sciences fields, according to internal studies.

Pearland Economic Development Corporation is steering an effort to focus on the long-term and sustainable economic health of the community – ensuring that the city has the qualities a community needs to foster business opportunities, including those in the health care industry. Pearland’s diversity, availability of educational opportunities, cultural and entertainment opportunities, and beautification efforts are also part of its equation to growing an employable workforce that’s ready for the future.

Recently in Pearland, HCA Healthcare broke ground on the HCA Healthcare Center for Clinical Advancement, a state-of-the-art 48,000 square-foot training center where the health system’s nearly 7,000 nurses will receive ongoing clinical education and training. Other recent additions to Pearland include Lonza Houston, Inc., one of the world’s largest dedicated cell and gene therapy manufacturing facilities, built-in 2018, and the expansion and relocation of Adient Medical, a medical device manufacturer, within Pearland in 2017.

Pearland’s developing Lower Kirby district has created a location for life science-focused companies such as Merit Medical Systems, Inc. and Cardiovascular Systems, Inc.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

I consider Yong as the biggest blessing in my life for this year. While I was practicing as a professional nurse in Texas, I received an order from the BON limiting my practice. This was problematic for me since I wanted to continue working for my employer. Yong was the one who wrote a reply letter to the Board and explained my innocence. He made all the necessary arrangements, which led to the issuance of an order in my favor…

I searched for a Texas lawyer who is good at handling nursing defense cases. During my research, I came across the website of Mr. Yong. I read positive comments from his previous clients, which made me become more interested in what he does. Because of this, I tried to send a message via the website. What made me really happy was the fact that a member of his team responded right away! He was so nice to me. I wish there won’t come a time that I would require the services of a lawyer. But right now, I have to say that I will recommend his firm to those who are in need!

The nice thing about Mr. Yong is that he is an expert in the legal aspect of the nursing industry. He has this ability in helping clients to feel calm and more relaxed while the case is going on. With his efforts, he was able to dismiss the case filed against me. I was able to keep my nursing license because of him. My case was quite difficult but he won! This only shows that he is an amazing and skilled lawyer in Texas.
