In this time of the pandemic, the real heroes are our brave nurses. However, they are aware that if they are not thorough while doing their job, they may face the possibility of being called to come in on a day off to correct charting, or face the fear that if they miss something, they could face disciplinary action. But there is nothing to worry about as there is a nurse attorney ready to help every RN or LVN.

On or about September 26, 2019, through December 18, 2019, an RN in The Woodlands failed to appropriately supervise delegated tasks to unlicensed personnel with regards to monitoring and documenting seizure activity and blood glucose levels for a patient who was developmentally delayed, diabetic, and suffered from myoclonic seizures.

Furthermore, the RN failed to obtain physician orders for the frequency of blood glucose monitoring for the patient. Her conduct was likely to injure the patient from potentially adverse complications of ongoing seizure activity and undetected and untreated fluctuations in blood glucose.

On the same day, the RN failed to completely and accurately reconcile medications prescribed to a patient in that Clobazam, a benzodiazepine, was delivered by the patient’s pharmacy, but not included on the patient’s home Medication Administration Record (MAR). Subsequently, the patient did not receive the ordered medication. Her conduct was likely to injure the patient in that failure to administer medications as ordered by the physician could have resulted in the non-efficacious treatment of the patient’s epilepsy.

In response to the incidents, the RN states all delegated tasks were appropriately monitored.

If you are an RN or an LVN in The Woodlands who faces any disciplinary issues before the Texas Board of Nursing, please contact The Woodlands nurse attorney Yong J. An, call or text at 832 428 5679 or you may email him at anlawfirm@gmail.com. Mr. An has represented over 100 nurses before the Texas Board of Nursing since 2006.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

I consider Yong as the biggest blessing in my life for this year. While I was practicing as a professional nurse in Texas, I received an order from the BON limiting my practice. This was problematic for me since I wanted to continue working for my employer. Yong was the one who wrote a reply letter to the Board and explained my innocence. He made all the necessary arrangements, which led to the issuance of an order in my favor…

I searched for a Texas lawyer who is good at handling nursing defense cases. During my research, I came across the website of Mr. Yong. I read positive comments from his previous clients, which made me become more interested in what he does. Because of this, I tried to send a message via the website. What made me really happy was the fact that a member of his team responded right away! He was so nice to me. I wish there won’t come a time that I would require the services of a lawyer. But right now, I have to say that I will recommend his firm to those who are in need!

The nice thing about Mr. Yong is that he is an expert in the legal aspect of the nursing industry. He has this ability in helping clients to feel calm and more relaxed while the case is going on. With his efforts, he was able to dismiss the case filed against me. I was able to keep my nursing license because of him. My case was quite difficult but he won! This only shows that he is an amazing and skilled lawyer in Texas.
