Post-operative care is given to patients after surgery. Such kinds of patients need to be assessed in a timely manner as they have lots of care needs. Untimely and never giving more attention to their needs can likely bring harm to the patient’s recovery. Such lacking in providing care for post-operative patients can be raised into a complaint or an accusation against you. If this happens, always remember that a nurse attorney can help with your case.

At the time of the incident, an RN was employed as a Registered Nurse at a medical facility in Bryan, Texas, and assigned to another facility and had been in that position for one (1) year and seven (7) months.

An incident happened on or about March 2, 2020, the RN failed to timely assess the vital signs for the post-surgical patients, upon the patient’s arrival to the unit. The RN’s conduct was likely to injure the patient from potentially adverse complications of undetected and untreated fluctuations in blood pressure, including tachycardia and hypotension.

In response to the incident, the RN states the patient arrived at the unit at approximately 19:45 and waited on a stretcher in the hall while the room was being readied. The RN further states the patient appeared lethargic and unable to follow directions when transferred to the room, and also states vital signs obtained at 20:25 noted the patient was tachycardia and hypotensive. The RN states she notified the on-call physician and the charge nurse and the charge nurse initiated the Rapid Response Team.

As a result, the RN is subject to disciplinary action from the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) as a consequence of her unprofessional conduct. Such consequence is unavoidable if you failed to hire a nurse attorney for your case. Always be prepared and ready to face the Board when such a case happens.

If you have questions about the Texas Board of Nursing disciplinary process, you can contact the Law Office of Nurse Attorney Yong J. An for a confidential consultation by calling or texting 24/7 at (832) 428-5679 and ask for attorney Yong.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

I consider Yong as the biggest blessing in my life for this year. While I was practicing as a professional nurse in Texas, I received an order from the BON limiting my practice. This was problematic for me since I wanted to continue working for my employer. Yong was the one who wrote a reply letter to the Board and explained my innocence. He made all the necessary arrangements, which led to the issuance of an order in my favor…

I searched for a Texas lawyer who is good at handling nursing defense cases. During my research, I came across the website of Mr. Yong. I read positive comments from his previous clients, which made me become more interested in what he does. Because of this, I tried to send a message via the website. What made me really happy was the fact that a member of his team responded right away! He was so nice to me. I wish there won’t come a time that I would require the services of a lawyer. But right now, I have to say that I will recommend his firm to those who are in need!

The nice thing about Mr. Yong is that he is an expert in the legal aspect of the nursing industry. He has this ability in helping clients to feel calm and more relaxed while the case is going on. With his efforts, he was able to dismiss the case filed against me. I was able to keep my nursing license because of him. My case was quite difficult but he won! This only shows that he is an amazing and skilled lawyer in Texas.
