A correct and appropriate diagnosis of a patient’s condition is very critical. Physicians, doctors, and nurses will base the patient’s treatment process on the diagnosis. But having inappropriate and incorrect diagnoses may bring a big risk of harm to a patient. Such a mistake could also lead you to a bad situation wherein your license and your career is at stake. Never worry because there will be a nurse attorney ready to help you if you will hire one.

At the time of the incident, the RN was employed as a Registered Nurse at a hospital, Georgetown, Texas, and had been in that position for one (1) week.

On or about July 12, 2017, through July 25, 2017, the RN exceeded her scope of practice in that she inappropriately diagnosed conditions and determining treatment with injectable medical cosmetic procedures for Staff Members and the Client. The RN’s conduct could have exposed patients to risk for harm from adverse effects of medical cosmetic procedures.

On or about July 12, 2017, through July 25, 2017, the RN failed to assess and/or document the assessment of Staff Members, and Clients who were receiving injectable cosmetic procedures. The RN’s conduct could have injured patients from clinical care decisions based on incomplete assessment information and created incomplete medical records.

In response, the RN states that she was acting under the verbal delegation authority given by the physician when she performed injections and that the physician-approved and signed the medical charts without incident. The RN also acknowledges she should have done a better job of documenting the assessments that she performed and that she now fully documents all her patient assessments.

As a result, the RN will be facing a discipline by the Texas Board of Nursing. This could have a different outcome if the RN only had hired a nurse attorney for help on such a matter. It is really important that you have someone who you can rely on when such a thing happens. Hiring a nurse attorney is very worth a try for RNs who are having a hard time with their cases.

If you have questions about the Texas Board of Nursing disciplinary process, you can contact the Law Office of Nurse Attorney Yong J. An for a confidential consultation by calling or texting 24/7 at (832) 428-5679 and ask for attorney Yong.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

I consider Yong as the biggest blessing in my life for this year. While I was practicing as a professional nurse in Texas, I received an order from the BON limiting my practice. This was problematic for me since I wanted to continue working for my employer. Yong was the one who wrote a reply letter to the Board and explained my innocence. He made all the necessary arrangements, which led to the issuance of an order in my favor…

I searched for a Texas lawyer who is good at handling nursing defense cases. During my research, I came across the website of Mr. Yong. I read positive comments from his previous clients, which made me become more interested in what he does. Because of this, I tried to send a message via the website. What made me really happy was the fact that a member of his team responded right away! He was so nice to me. I wish there won’t come a time that I would require the services of a lawyer. But right now, I have to say that I will recommend his firm to those who are in need!

The nice thing about Mr. Yong is that he is an expert in the legal aspect of the nursing industry. He has this ability in helping clients to feel calm and more relaxed while the case is going on. With his efforts, he was able to dismiss the case filed against me. I was able to keep my nursing license because of him. My case was quite difficult but he won! This only shows that he is an amazing and skilled lawyer in Texas.
