Every person who wants to become a professional nurse needs to go through several processes. First, there is a need to complete tertiary education in a nursing school. After graduation, the next step is to take the nursing board examination. The goal is to pass the said exam to become part of a professional nurse. Therefore, RNs and LVNs should be more careful whenever they are on their duty. All these only show that the process is not easy. Hence, every RN/LVN must take care of their license. Failure to hire the best nurse attorney to defend their case could simply lead to license suspension or revocation. The administrative body or agency that has the authority to hear cases regarding the nursing profession is the Texas Board of Nursing.

At the time of the incident, she was employed as an RN at a hospital in Temple, Texas, and had been in that position for ten (10) years and six (6) months.

On or about September 18, 2019, while employed as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse at a hospital in Temple, Texas, RN engaged in unprofessional conduct in that she submitted a certificate indicating she had successfully completed the Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support online class even though it had been completed by two (2) co-workers on her behalf while she was not present. RN’s conduct was likely to deceive any accrediting body that relied on the fraudulent certificates to verify her current certification, which was required for the position.

In response to the above incident, the RN states she tried to get permission to attend ACLS classes since the beginning of summer on four occasions; however, each time was told that staffing could not accommodate her requests. RN states that when she returned to work there was a version 2010 ACLS card on the desk with a note requiring her to sign the card and return it to her supervisor’s box. RN states it was a poor decision to sign the card, but the hospital’s program was the 2010 version and she did not turn it in for educational credits as she completed this program in 2013 and the hospital’s computer version had expired in 2015. Information provided by the hospital human resources department shows 2010 in the upper right-hand corner with completion of course dated 2019. RN further states she later completed the appropriate up to date 2015 version at class in Temple on October 27, 2019.

The above action constitutes grounds for disciplinary action in accordance with Section 301.452(b)(10), Texas Occupations Code, and is a violation of 22 TEX. ADMIN. CODE §217.12(1)(A),(1)(B)&(6)(I).

The Texas Board of Nursing gave the RN sufficient time to defend the complaints filed against her. However, there was a failure on the RN’s part to find the right RN/LVN license attorney to handle her case. The negligence of the nurse attorney led to the decision of the Texas BON to place the RN’s license under disciplinary action.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

I consider Yong as the biggest blessing in my life for this year. While I was practicing as a professional nurse in Texas, I received an order from the BON limiting my practice. This was problematic for me since I wanted to continue working for my employer. Yong was the one who wrote a reply letter to the Board and explained my innocence. He made all the necessary arrangements, which led to the issuance of an order in my favor…

I searched for a Texas lawyer who is good at handling nursing defense cases. During my research, I came across the website of Mr. Yong. I read positive comments from his previous clients, which made me become more interested in what he does. Because of this, I tried to send a message via the website. What made me really happy was the fact that a member of his team responded right away! He was so nice to me. I wish there won’t come a time that I would require the services of a lawyer. But right now, I have to say that I will recommend his firm to those who are in need!

The nice thing about Mr. Yong is that he is an expert in the legal aspect of the nursing industry. He has this ability in helping clients to feel calm and more relaxed while the case is going on. With his efforts, he was able to dismiss the case filed against me. I was able to keep my nursing license because of him. My case was quite difficult but he won! This only shows that he is an amazing and skilled lawyer in Texas.
