A nurse attorney should be hired at all times whenever you undergo a case whether a civil or a criminal case, that may affect your RN license. This is what an RN from Texas should have done when facing a criminal case that is affecting her license and work. Take note that the Texas Board of Nursing can settle matters with a nurse attorney if one is present with the respondent during a case.

At the time of the incident, an RN was employed as a Registered Nurse at a medical facility in Pasadena, Texas, and had been in that position for one (1) month.

On or about September 6, 2019, while working as a Registered Nurse, the said RN administered supplemental oxygen to a Patient without a valid physician’s order. The RN’s conduct exposed the patient to the risk of harm from supplemental oxygen administration without the benefit of a physician’s expertise.

It was on or about September 6, 2019, while working as a Registered Nurse, the RN failed to assess gastronomy tube placement for the Patient as ordered. The failure of the RN exposed the patient to the risk of injury from adverse complications of undetected gastronomy tube migration, including leakage of gastric contents, and/or tube feeds, into the peritoneal cavity.

In light of the incident that happened, the RN states that the patient was already on supplemental oxygen when she assumed care and also states she accepts responsibility for failure to check the chart for an order and that she accepts responsibility for not having a stethoscope with her at that time in order to properly assess gastronomy tube placement.

As a result, the RN was given disciplinary action by the Board. And also, her lack of an experienced nurse attorney to properly defend her case led to the suspension of her license which also affected her career as an RN. The RN was also said to be under probation due to her misconduct.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

I consider Yong as the biggest blessing in my life for this year. While I was practicing as a professional nurse in Texas, I received an order from the BON limiting my practice. This was problematic for me since I wanted to continue working for my employer. Yong was the one who wrote a reply letter to the Board and explained my innocence. He made all the necessary arrangements, which led to the issuance of an order in my favor…

I searched for a Texas lawyer who is good at handling nursing defense cases. During my research, I came across the website of Mr. Yong. I read positive comments from his previous clients, which made me become more interested in what he does. Because of this, I tried to send a message via the website. What made me really happy was the fact that a member of his team responded right away! He was so nice to me. I wish there won’t come a time that I would require the services of a lawyer. But right now, I have to say that I will recommend his firm to those who are in need!

The nice thing about Mr. Yong is that he is an expert in the legal aspect of the nursing industry. He has this ability in helping clients to feel calm and more relaxed while the case is going on. With his efforts, he was able to dismiss the case filed against me. I was able to keep my nursing license because of him. My case was quite difficult but he won! This only shows that he is an amazing and skilled lawyer in Texas.
