Every person who wants to become a professional nurse needs to go through several processes. First, there is a need to complete tertiary education in a nursing school. After graduation, the next step is to take the nursing board examination. The goal is to pass the said exam to become part of the professional nurses. Therefore, RNs and LVNs should be more careful whenever they are on their duty. All these only show that the process is not easy. Hence, every RN/LVN must take care of their license. Failure to hire the best nurse attorney to defend their case could simply lead to license suspension or revocation. The administrative body or agency that has the authority to hear cases regarding the nursing profession is the Texas Board of nursing.

At the time of the initial incident, he was employed as an RN at a hospital in Georgetown, Texas, and had been in that position for eleven (11) months.

On or about May 13, 2020, while employed as an RN at a hospital in Georgetown, Texas, RN was accused of the following:

  1. RN lacked fitness to practice professional nursing in that he was unable to show basic nursing knowledge, was observed rocking unsteadily, slurring his speech and uncomfortably asking a patient what they wanted to be when they grew up. RN’s condition could have affected his ability to recognize subtle signs, symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions, and could have affected his ability to make rational, accurate, and appropriate assessments, judgements, and decisions regarding patient care, thereby placing the patients in potential danger.
  2. RN failed to properly start an IV on a pediatric patient. When another nurse entered the patient’s room, the patient was found restrained in a sheet, with the tourniquet still on the patient’s arm, which was beet red, without the IV started. RN’s conduct may have prolonged and interfered with the patient’s treatment.

The above actions constitute grounds for disciplinary action in accordance with Section 301.452(b)(10),(12)&(13), Texas Occupations Code, and is a violation of 22 TEX. ADMIN. CODE §217.11(1)(A),(1)(B),(1)(C),(1)(D),(1)(M)&(1)(T) and 22 TEX. ADMIN. CODE §217.12(1)(A),(1)(B),(1)(C),(1)(E),(4),(5),(6)(A)&(10)(B).

The Texas Board of Nursing gave the RN enough time to defend the complaints filed against him. However, there was a failure on the RN’s part to find the right RN/LVN license attorney to handle his case. The negligence of the RN/LVN license attorney led to the decision of the Texas BON to place the RN’s license under disciplinary action.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

I consider Yong as the biggest blessing in my life for this year. While I was practicing as a professional nurse in Texas, I received an order from the BON limiting my practice. This was problematic for me since I wanted to continue working for my employer. Yong was the one who wrote a reply letter to the Board and explained my innocence. He made all the necessary arrangements, which led to the issuance of an order in my favor…

I searched for a Texas lawyer who is good at handling nursing defense cases. During my research, I came across the website of Mr. Yong. I read positive comments from his previous clients, which made me become more interested in what he does. Because of this, I tried to send a message via the website. What made me really happy was the fact that a member of his team responded right away! He was so nice to me. I wish there won’t come a time that I would require the services of a lawyer. But right now, I have to say that I will recommend his firm to those who are in need!

The nice thing about Mr. Yong is that he is an expert in the legal aspect of the nursing industry. He has this ability in helping clients to feel calm and more relaxed while the case is going on. With his efforts, he was able to dismiss the case filed against me. I was able to keep my nursing license because of him. My case was quite difficult but he won! This only shows that he is an amazing and skilled lawyer in Texas.
