A complaint at work is a serious case, which is why a Houston nurse attorney is needed if you get accused of this kind of scenario. However, some who thought they were guilty of the charges failed to hire a nurse attorney just because they thought it was the doom for their RN or LVN license already. But that is not entirely the case as there is still hope.

At the time of the incident, an RN was employed as a Registered Nurse at a hospital in Brownsville, Texas, and had been in that position for three (3) years and six (6) months.

On or about April 24, 2021, while employed as a Registered Nurse, the RN failed to intervene for the patient when she witnessed another provider grab and drag the patient by his shirt. The RN’s conduct was likely to contribute to emotional, physical, and/or psychological harm to the patient and could have interfered with or disrupted this patient’s treatment.

In response, the RN explains that the provider who grabbed and dragged the patient was not receptive to corrections and had become angry with her for previous issues. The RN states she was eventually written up and became fearful to act and felt helpless. And relates that when the incident occurred, she was fearful of physically intervening as she was worried about the provider’s reaction, and concerned that her intervention could make the provider angrier and cause the incident to escalate instead of deescalating it.

The Texas Board of Nursing (BON) gave the RN the chance to defend herself.  However, she was not able to provide a good defense for herself, especially when the evidence was brought up to her. Therefore, the Board placed her RN license to disciplinary action instead.

It’s best to seek the help of a Houston nurse attorney when facing charges. However, some nurses tend to face these results instead without thinking that nurse attorneys are always reliable for matters such as these. You may contact Nurse Attorney Yong J. An 24/7 at (832) 428-5679 for more information or if you want to schedule a private consultation.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

I consider Yong as the biggest blessing in my life for this year. While I was practicing as a professional nurse in Texas, I received an order from the BON limiting my practice. This was problematic for me since I wanted to continue working for my employer. Yong was the one who wrote a reply letter to the Board and explained my innocence. He made all the necessary arrangements, which led to the issuance of an order in my favor…

I searched for a Texas lawyer who is good at handling nursing defense cases. During my research, I came across the website of Mr. Yong. I read positive comments from his previous clients, which made me become more interested in what he does. Because of this, I tried to send a message via the website. What made me really happy was the fact that a member of his team responded right away! He was so nice to me. I wish there won’t come a time that I would require the services of a lawyer. But right now, I have to say that I will recommend his firm to those who are in need!

The nice thing about Mr. Yong is that he is an expert in the legal aspect of the nursing industry. He has this ability in helping clients to feel calm and more relaxed while the case is going on. With his efforts, he was able to dismiss the case filed against me. I was able to keep my nursing license because of him. My case was quite difficult but he won! This only shows that he is an amazing and skilled lawyer in Texas.
