Every practicing RN license holder in the state of Texas is required to follow certain rules and regulations imposed by the government. These laws and statutes were implemented to ensure that the safety of the patients is protected by the state. The nursing profession is not an easy journey. An RN who commits any violation can place her RN License in jeopardy. The Texas Board of Nursing has the authority to revoke or suspend an RN license in the country for as long as there is a justifiable reason. Any action that may compromise the career of a nurse, but can be defended properly by a nurse attorney should the nurse provides a good reason.

On or about December 9, 2016, while employed as a charge nurse in a rehabilitation center in Weatherford, the RN failed to use the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) during Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for a patient. Subsequently, Emergency Medical  Services  (EMS)  arrived and placed patient on  cardiac  monitor, transported the  patient  to  the  hospital, and patient  expired. The RN’s conductwas likely to injure that patient in that improper resuscitation and emergencycare techniques may result in ineffective lifesaving treatment, possibly resultingin death.

The Texas Board of Nursing gave the RN a chance to defend her case. She states that the patient was assessed after thefamily informed the RN the patient was not breathing, and chest compressionswere started by the RN. She states Emergency Medical Services (EMS) wasactivated, and when they arrived EMS took over CPR efforts on the patient.  She further states that in her defense, shewas unaware that it was mandatory to apply the AED during CPR.

As a result, her RN license was disciplined and suspended by the Texas BON. She did not have an experienced attorney to fully defend her case led to this decision by the Texas BON.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

I consider Yong as the biggest blessing in my life for this year. While I was practicing as a professional nurse in Texas, I received an order from the BON limiting my practice. This was problematic for me since I wanted to continue working for my employer. Yong was the one who wrote a reply letter to the Board and explained my innocence. He made all the necessary arrangements, which led to the issuance of an order in my favor…

I searched for a Texas lawyer who is good at handling nursing defense cases. During my research, I came across the website of Mr. Yong. I read positive comments from his previous clients, which made me become more interested in what he does. Because of this, I tried to send a message via the website. What made me really happy was the fact that a member of his team responded right away! He was so nice to me. I wish there won’t come a time that I would require the services of a lawyer. But right now, I have to say that I will recommend his firm to those who are in need!

The nice thing about Mr. Yong is that he is an expert in the legal aspect of the nursing industry. He has this ability in helping clients to feel calm and more relaxed while the case is going on. With his efforts, he was able to dismiss the case filed against me. I was able to keep my nursing license because of him. My case was quite difficult but he won! This only shows that he is an amazing and skilled lawyer in Texas.
