Losing your license may greatly affect your future career, but only if you failed to hire a nurse attorney for your case. There are some RNs who missed their chances to get their license saved from revocation just because they weren’t able to hire any nurse attorney to properly defend them.

This RN from a medical facility in Houston, Texas happens to be one of them. On or about November 1, 2009, the RN was arrested by the police for the charge of Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct. Subsequently, on or about September 22, 2010, the same RN was again arrested by the police for a felony offense.

The RN was given the chance to defend herself and denied all the accusations and cases filed against her. However, without enough evidence to support her case and a nurse attorney to help her, she was discipline. Thus, the Texas Board of Nursing subjected her license for revocation.

Another case involving an RN happened on January 16, 2008. While employed in a healthcare center in Houston, the RN engaged in the use of Marijuana. Any unlawful possession and usage of marijuana is prohibited by the Texas Health and Safety Code. Aside from this, the RN was also seen lack of fitness to practice her nursing profession in that she was observed exhibiting slurred speech and sleepy demeanor.

The RN denied the allegations against her. However, without a skilled nurse attorney to defend her, she lost her case. The Texas Board of Nursing finds that her condition could have affected her ability to recognize any signs and changes in patient’s condition. Additionally, her condition could have affected her ability to make rational judgements and decisions regarding patient care, which could place the patient in danger.

Further, the unlawful possession and use of marijuana while on duty could impair her ability to make accurate assessments and appropriate judgments regarding patient care. Her use of marijuana while on duty could also place the patient in potential danger.

Because of this, the RN has been subjected for discipline.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

I consider Yong as the biggest blessing in my life for this year. While I was practicing as a professional nurse in Texas, I received an order from the BON limiting my practice. This was problematic for me since I wanted to continue working for my employer. Yong was the one who wrote a reply letter to the Board and explained my innocence. He made all the necessary arrangements, which led to the issuance of an order in my favor…

I searched for a Texas lawyer who is good at handling nursing defense cases. During my research, I came across the website of Mr. Yong. I read positive comments from his previous clients, which made me become more interested in what he does. Because of this, I tried to send a message via the website. What made me really happy was the fact that a member of his team responded right away! He was so nice to me. I wish there won’t come a time that I would require the services of a lawyer. But right now, I have to say that I will recommend his firm to those who are in need!

The nice thing about Mr. Yong is that he is an expert in the legal aspect of the nursing industry. He has this ability in helping clients to feel calm and more relaxed while the case is going on. With his efforts, he was able to dismiss the case filed against me. I was able to keep my nursing license because of him. My case was quite difficult but he won! This only shows that he is an amazing and skilled lawyer in Texas.
