Whenever someone filed a complaint against you which involves false documentation, your license could be put in danger if not defended by a nurse attorney. An RN from Fort Worth, Texas is just one of the many examples.

An incident happened to an RN in 2015. At the time of the initial incident, he was employed as an RN in a medical facility in Fort Worth, Texas, and had been in that position for seven (7) years and nine (9) months.

On or about January 14, 2015, through December 26, 2015, while employed as a Charge Nurse in a medical facility in Fort Worth, Texas, RN did the following:

1. withdrew Hydrocodone 10/325 and Hydrocodone 5/325 from the medication dispensing system for patients but failed to document, and/or completely and accurately document, pain assessments in the patients’ medical records. RN’s conduct was likely to injure the patients in that clinical care decisions were formulated based upon incomplete assessment information.

2. withdrew Hydrocodone 10/325 and Hydrocodone 5/325, from the medication dispensing system for patients in excess frequency and/or dosage of the physician’s orders. RN’s conduct was likely to injure the patients in that the administration of medication in excess frequency and/or dosage of the physicians’ orders could result in the patients suffering from adverse reactions.

The above actions constitute grounds for disciplinary action in accordance with Section 301.452(b)(10)&(13), Texas Occupations Code, and are a violation of 22 TEX. ADMIN. CODE §217.11(1)(A),(1)(B),(1)(C),(1)(D)&(3) and 22 TEX. ADMIN. CODE §217.12(1)(A),(1)(B),(1)(C),(4),(6)(G),(10)(B),(10)(C),(10)(E) & (11)(B).

Furthermore, the RN failed to hire an expert nurse attorney to help him with his case. Because of this, the Texas Board of Nursing imposed disciplinary action on the RN and his license.
