An allegation or complaint could be a serious case, which is why an El Paso nurse attorney is needed if you get accused of this kind of scenario. However, some who thought they were guilty of the charges failed to hire a nurse attorney just because they think it’s the doom for their license already. But that is not entirely the case as there is still hope.

Unfortunately, an RN from El Paso failed to do this which resulted in disciplinary action. Take note that the Texas Board of Nursing who handles all of the cases may affect the RN’s license from receiving the suspension, disciplinary action, or revocation. However, with the right nurse attorney for the case, rest assured that the case can go according to the nurse’s favor, especially if the RN has a good defense against the case.

On or about, April 23, 2018, while employed as the School Nurse in El Paso, the RN failed to adequately document her assessment of a patient, who presented to the clinic twice with complaints of cough. Her conduct resulted in an incomplete medical record and was likely to injure the patient in that subsequent caregivers would not have reliable information on which to base their care decisions which may result in the delay of treatment for the patient’s respiratory symptoms.

In response to the incident, the RN states that the student reported to the nurse’s office with a mild, dry cough but did not demonstrate any other signs or symptoms. She states the student’s temperature was normal, and her pulse oximetry was 99%. She states she was not wheezing, having difficulty breathing, or exhibiting other respiratory symptoms. She states she documented her assessment of the student in her medical record.

Unfortunately, without an experienced El Paso nurse attorney to help her defend her case, she was disciplined and suspended by the Texas Board of Nursing.

If you ever undergo cases such as this, it’s best to seek the assistance of a good nurse attorney as it could make the case better in your favor. Be sure to find a nurse attorney who’s experienced and knowledgeable in several cases to ensure the best assistance possible.
