Accusations are stressful issues for an RN or LVN, except when a criminal nurse attorney assists you against the case. The Texas Board of Nursing is responsible for all hearings against RNs and LVNs undergoing a case that may revoke suspend or only discipline their license. Take note that nurse attorneys can also defend a nurse’s license against accusations.

On or about March 26, 2015, an LVN from Austin allegedly stole Oxycodone pills from patient’s lockbox.

Because of the incident, the Texas Board of Nursing decided to summon the LVN to hear her side of the story. However, she was not able to attend the hearing. She also failed to hire a nurse attorney to help her defend her case. There, the Texas Board of Nursing decided to suspend and discipline the LVN. She was charged with Grand Theft of a Controlled Substance, a felony charge.

The Texas Board of Nursing then subjected the LVN and her license into disciplinary action. The accusation would have been defended by an experienced and skilled criminal nurse attorney, had the LVN hired one. Hiring a criminal nurse attorney for defense is applicable for any kind of accusation laid against an RN or LVN.
