Complaints from patients may cause your license and career at risk. Issues such as this may greatly affect your future career, but only if you failed to hire a nurse attorney for the case. There are some RNs and LVNs who missed their chances to get a better defense just because they weren’t able to hire any nurse attorney to defend them.

At the time of the incident, an LVN was employed as a Licensed Vocational Nurse at a health facility in Temple, Texas, and had been in that position for three (3) years and one (1) month.

On or about September 11, 2019, through January 2, 2020, while employed as a Licensed Vocational Nurse and while assigned to provide nursing care for the Patient, the said LVN completed and submitted incorrect nursing visit notes for the Patient including incorrect start and end times on her nursing visit notes for Patient. The visit notes also incorrectly included the caregiver’s signature on the LVN’s visit notes. The LVN’s conduct was wrong, created an inaccurate medical record, and could have injured and confused the patient and facility in that subsequent caregivers might not have accurate information to base their future care decisions and may have affected payroll decisions, respectively.

In light of the occurrence, the said LVN acknowledges her mistakes concerning inaccurate nursing notes for visits with incorrect start and end times, and she admits that she made a mistake and attributes her conduct to an isolated lapse in judgment.

However, the Texas Board of Nursing found that his conduct violates the Texas Occupations Code. As a result, he receives disciplinary and further sanctions from the Texas Board of Nursing (BON).

This is just one of the cases why every LVN in Texas is expected to act with prudence in practicing the profession. Gross negligence or disobedience on the part of the RN is never excused.

Avoid committing the same mistake the LVN did. Find the right nurse attorney in Texas to help you with your needs. Contact nurse attorney Yong J. An, directly by calling or texting him at (832) 428-5679 for a discreet consultation.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

I consider Yong as the biggest blessing in my life for this year. While I was practicing as a professional nurse in Texas, I received an order from the BON limiting my practice. This was problematic for me since I wanted to continue working for my employer. Yong was the one who wrote a reply letter to the Board and explained my innocence. He made all the necessary arrangements, which led to the issuance of an order in my favor…

I searched for a Texas lawyer who is good at handling nursing defense cases. During my research, I came across the website of Mr. Yong. I read positive comments from his previous clients, which made me become more interested in what he does. Because of this, I tried to send a message via the website. What made me really happy was the fact that a member of his team responded right away! He was so nice to me. I wish there won’t come a time that I would require the services of a lawyer. But right now, I have to say that I will recommend his firm to those who are in need!

The nice thing about Mr. Yong is that he is an expert in the legal aspect of the nursing industry. He has this ability in helping clients to feel calm and more relaxed while the case is going on. With his efforts, he was able to dismiss the case filed against me. I was able to keep my nursing license because of him. My case was quite difficult but he won! This only shows that he is an amazing and skilled lawyer in Texas.
